FINE ARTS
I have exhibited in numerous art shows and galleries across the US since the early 1970s, 80s, and 90s. In 2005, 2010 and 2012, I participated in shows in New York at the Syracuse University Community Folk Art Center, Authors and Artists events in Chicago, Illinois (Pictured with a drawing i donated to Isaiah Washington, actor formerly with "Grey's Anatomy") and numerous other events. I also exhibited arts and printing at Conventions and art shows around the country in other states such as Michigan, Washington DC, Georgia, Missouri, Mississippi, and Ohio.

Thanks to the Beneficent, I've had a chance to traveled to Ghana and Senegal, West Africa in 1999, 2005 and 2007 as part of an extension course through the Travel Abroad Office at NC State University in conjunction with the IBM Diversity Network. I was in Ghana in 2007, during their yearlong celebration of their 50th anniversary of independence. My travel group visited various craft villages and made contact with many West African artisans. I also traveled to Mecca, Saudi, Arabia, Morocco, North Africa, and Seoul, South Korea.

Working with Artist in Senegal
At Sahel Gallery in Dakkar, Senegal West Africa, I got a chance to try my hand sand painting. These young men were excellent artist.
While in Senegal, I had a chance to meet several artist, carvers, and drummers. I was able to ship many art piece back to the US for resell in my small home based shop at the time.
El Mina, meaning The Mine, was a shipping spot for many slaves to South and North America and the Caribbean Islands.
Ghanaian dancers entertained tourist at Cedi Village, just out Ghana's capital, Accra. Cedi,the village bead maker, is one of the top bead makers in the world.

In the years before retirement, I had a chance to travel as a Network Security Lead for one of the Detroit auto-makers.
